Alison joined the Committee of Management in 2001 motivated by her strong wish
to be involved in looking after the interests of members of the Cheviot pension
schemes. She is particularly interested in the investment issues and is a
member of the Investment Sub-Committee. Another area in which she takes a
special interest is in the communication of information to members.
Alison worked for Radcliffes (now RadcliffesLeBrasseur) as a law librarian and
as a legal researcher. By studying whilst employed, she became a qualified
Legal Executive. Her interest in personal finance led her to further studies on
financial planning and she attained the Chartered Insurance Institute’s
Financial Planning Certificate.
Since leaving Radcliffes, Alison has become a specialist editor working for the
marketing departments of several law firms.
