The administration team at Cheviot work hard to provide a really good service for members and employers.
The pensions administration team is managed by Samantha Chandler. Samantha has been with Cheviot for eight years and under her management the team has gone from strength to strength. The team provide a full administration service dealing with new members through to retirements.
There is no call centre – the person you speak to will usually be the person who will work on your case and then write to you with the results. The team all have direct dial telephone numbers so you will be able to get through to the right person straight away with any queries.
The finance team manage all the contributions and investments and are critical to making sure that the right contributions are paid and then invested correctly. The finance team is managed by Paul Gansbuehler who joined Cheviot in 2013. The cash flows being managed by Paul’s team are about £36m per year so it is quite a task to make sure everything ends up in the right place. The audit reports support our view that the team does a great job of looking after the contributions made by members and employers. Members are less likely to talk to the finance team but if you do, then you will find they do their best to resolve your query quickly or refer it to someone who can. Employers find the finance team’s gentle reminders when contributions are due helpful to ensure that they meet their obligations.
Samantha joined the Cheviot Trust in 2004 and is the Head of Pensions. Samantha is involved in the strategic and future development of Cheviot and deputizing for the Chief Executive. Samantha and the Pensions Administration team deal with the day to day administration of the Cheviot pension and the Final Salary Schemes and welcome any queries you may have with regards to your membership of these.
Paul joined the Cheviot Trust in 2013 and is responsible for running the finance team. Paul and the team manage the regular investments and disinvestments of the pension schemes and calculate the monthly Pensioner payrolls. They are responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions of the Trust and for management reporting to the Trustee board and external financial reporting.
Paul qualified as an accountant in 2002 and has worked within the Financial services sector for over 15 years. Prior to joining Cheviot, Paul has worked for M&G, Moody’s and Heath Lambert.
